Display Problems?
There are several known compatibility problems with the
new web site design. It works quite well if viewed by Microsoft's Internet
Explorer, however if viewed with Netscape and a few other web browsers the pages
will be greatly distorted and parts of the page will be displayed to the right
of the heading.
Listed below are some possible solutions if your web
browser does not display this page correctly.
This web site uses scripting agents that may require
your web browser to have Active-X enabled and pop-ups must be enabled. You
can change your default settings for these items in your web browser by
selecting tools - Internet Options.
- Using the tabs select the tab labeled Security and
then click on Trusted sites. Add http://www.sa.wbu.edu
and
http://satx.wbu.edu as trusted sites.
- Next select the tab labeled Privacy. Check
the settings for the pop-up blocker and add www.sa.wbu.edu, satx.wbu.edu,
students.wbu.edu, and wbusa.wbu.edu to the addresses that will allow pop-ups.
- Next select the tab labeled Advanced and scroll
down to Browsing. Check the box next to Enable visual styles on
buttons and controls in web pages. Continue to scroll down to Security
and check the box next to Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0.
- The new web site is best viewed using Microsoft's
Internet Explorer with screen settings at 1024 x 768.
- If using Netscape you will obtain best results by
setting your tabs as follows: Open Netscape and then select Tools -
Options and at the window click on the tab labeled Tabs. At this
window check the three boxes under the heading Switch to New Tab (see
illustration).
