February Graduation

February 2009 graduation is for those students who will complete their coursework by the end of the Fall 2008 term

(November 1, 2008) and/or will provide documentation of transfer work no later than November 21, 2008

 

Applications for February 2009 graduation will be accepted from

July 1, 2008, through October 17, 2008.

 

July 1, 2008 First day Applications for Graduation for February 2009 will be accepted by WBUSA.  POC: IH35 Campus Front Office or via US mail.  Note: a separate application must be filed for each degree you are requesting.

August 22, 2008 Last day to request a Change of Degree, Major, or Specialization and still be able to meet the deadline to apply for graduation.  *Remember, applying for graduation locks in your degree program.  Any changes to the degree program must be requested and approved (which can take up to 8 weeks) before you submit a request to graduate with that degree.*  POC: Academic Advisor.
October 10, 2008 Last day to take a CLEP® or DSST® test and ensure a Score Report is received by the Documentation Deadline.
October 17, 2008

Deadline to turn in Application for Graduation and pay fee.  Applications submitted after this date will be processed for June 2009 graduation.

November 1, 2008

Last day of classes for the Fall term/Posting date for degrees.  **All coursework must be completed by this date in order to be eligible for February 2009 graduation.  This includes Wayland courses, semesters at other colleges, and CLEP® or DSST® testing.  There is no exception to this policy.**

November 7, 2008

Last day to have the Application for Graduation and fee moved to the June 2009 graduation if requirements will not be met in time for February 2009 graduation.

Hereafter, students who miss the documentation deadline or do not complete all academic requirements must re-apply for graduation and pay the $50 re-apply fee.  POC: Graduation Auditor or Graduation Secretary.

November 21, 2008

Deadline to submit transcripts from other colleges, Work Experience documentation, CLEP® or DSST® score reports, and other documentation of transfer work to the San Antonio campus.  POC: Academic Records.

December 19, 2008

Noon

Last day to order graduation announcements without paying a late fee.  POC: WBU-SA Bookstore.

January 2, 2009

Deadline to pay off any remaining account balance.  Paying a balance after this date may result in your diploma being held until the payment has cleared.  POC: Financial Services

Late January Final instruction letter mailed to potential February graduates.
January 16, 2009

Last day to request a Letter of Completion, if needed.  POC: Academic Advisor.

February 2-6, 2009

February 9-12, 2009

Caps and gowns available for pick-up at the IH 35 campus between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.  Location: Front office.

February 6, 2009

Last day to turn in a Request to Graduate in Absentia form or change from absentia to attending.  POC: Graduation Secretary.

Diplomas will not be available before this date.

Week of February 23, 2009

Diplomas for absentia graduates available for pick-up, if requested.
