Academic Advising

Wayland maintains Academic Advisor offices at our Main Campus, Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, and Ft Sam Houston.  We also have recruiters available to visit business and government organizations on request.
 

Academic Advisors at the military bases generally work by appointment as well, however they do accept walk-ins.  We have an Academic Advisor available for walk-ins at our main campus location.  New students not assigned to a military base may wish to use the walk-in option or call to make an appointment.  New students will be assigned an Academic Advisor following the initial session.

New students seeking a preliminary degree plan to be written should bring to the appointment copies of transcripts, CLEP, AARTS, DD Form 214 or DD Form 295 and certificates of all employer based training they want to be evaluated for credit .

Make an appointment to have your credits evaluated, and to determine the number of hours needed to complete your Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree.

Office hours at the Main Campus are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed weekends and university holidays.
