Embracing the hope.
Building the dream.
Wayland
Baptist University San Antonio has entered a three-year
capital campaign to raise a stretch goal of $8,000,000.
This will provide funds to build a 60,000 square foot
building to accommodate 3,500 students. The building
will include a small auditorium, 20 classrooms, computer
and science labs, faculty offices, student lounge,
prayer chapel and bookstore.
The
faculty/staff campaign was completed January 24, 2008
with 100% participation.
The advisory
committee campaign as of May 5, 2008 reported 70%
participation.
Contacts will
be made shortly with community leaders, alumni, students
and foundations with information about this three-year
pledge to this campaign. Requests will be made for
pledges.
When the
building is complete Wayland Baptist University will be
able to provide more classes for nursing and education
as well as encourage San Antonio residents over 25 years
of age to reach beyond their high school education. |
